Our Firm, SURTIDA & HERNANDEZ ATTORNEYS-AT-LAW (formerly Hernandez Surtida Galicia Attorneys-at-Law), is a general professional partnership duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) with Company Registration No. PP200712914 issued on December 18, 2013. Graduated at the San Beda College of Law and was admitted to the Bar in 1998; he served as legal assistant at the Balgos & Perez Law Offices, and as an associate attorney at the Brillantes Nachura Navarro Jumamil Arcilla Escolin & Martinez Law Offices. Mr. Surtida has extensive experience in the fields of litigation and appellate practice involving civil, criminal, Ombudsman and Sandiganbayan cases, commercial, corporate, labor, property, estate, immigration, transportation, energy and maritime laws.

GUILLERMO M. HERNANDEZ, JR.

Born in Manila on April 21, 1968, graduated at the San Beda College of Law in 1997 and was admitted to the Bar in 1998; He is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (B.S.M.E.) at the De La Salle University, Manila. Mr. Hernandez is a seasoned lawyer and has extensive experience in litigation and appellate practices involving civil, criminal, commercial, property, immigration and administrative, labor, contracts, construction, insurance, transportation, maritime and shipping, telecommunications and broadcast, real property, estate, Intellectual Property, collection, finance and banking, and corporate laws.

Ms. Torbela-Tio has extensive experience in civil, criminal, commercial, property, land registration and titling, banking, corporate and contracts, taxation, immigration, insurance, IT and telecommunications and broadcast laws, land-based and manning agencies.

Born in Legaspi City, and admitted to the Bar in 2005. He has long-term experience in writing, research and policy analysis, having worked in the Senate of the Philippines, Office of the Vice-President and Office of the President for many years before he became a lawyer. As a lawyer, he is engaged in litigation and appellate practice and is well-versed in civil, criminal, corporate, commercial, labor, property, estate, immigration, family law, election, transportation and maritime, telecommunications, broadcast and IT laws.

Earned her Juris Doctor degree from San Sebastian College of Law-Recoletos Manila. She was admitted to the Bar in 2019. She currently specializes in labor law, commercial law, realty and land registration laws, maritime law, taxation, and corporate matters, and is the lead counsel on numerous real estate cases before the Human Settlements Adjudication Commission (HSAC).

She currently practices corporation and taxation laws, contracts, administrative and banking laws, and realty and land registration laws and handled cases before the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), the Court of Tax Appeals (CTA), the Land Registration Authority (LRA) and Registers of Deeds (RDs).
